How to access an unattended device?

There are three types of settings for any incoming connection request. Based on the Settings here, the user trying to access your unattended device will be given the option to enter the password.

Follow the same procedure as for sending a normal connection request. Depending on the user’s Interactive Access settings, the device owner may or may not get the pop-up option to accept or decline the request. But regardless of that, you also have the direct option to enter the password to access your device if the unattended access feature is enabled.

Integrate GPG Key

To verify the authenticity of the package we download from any repository, the system needs a key that is used to sign them. Therefore, the same goes for AnyDesk as well. Before adding your repository, let’s add the following key to your Ubuntu 22.04 system.

Microsoft Remote Desktop among the most notable free competitors to AnyDesk because it is so popular and easy to use. However, it generally has more limited functionality than AnyDesk. This solution works similarly to Chrome Remote Desktop: simply install the client on your computer, and if you want to use the mobile app, download the app from your mobile device’s app store. This will allow you to connect your devices and establish remote access, with streaming video and audio (just like with AnyDesk). A key benefit of using Microsoft Remote Desktop is that you don’t need a Google Chrome installation for this tool to work on Windows devices.

Anydesk audio not working.

Make sure «Stream audio output from this desktop» is enabled in the audio settings. Also, go to the «Security» > «Unattended Access» tab and «Remote User Permissions» sections and allow other users to listen to your computer’s sound output.

Make sure «Control my computer’s keyboard and mouse» is checked. In some cases, starting AnyDesk as an administrator on the remote side can resolve this issue.
