Copy Paste Not Working In Anydesk

Unfortunately I don’t know why rdpclip stops working or how to fix it permanently; however, there is a way to make it easier if it happens frequently.

  • Create a new bat file and name it whatever you want, clipboard.bat.
  • Type the following two commands on separate lines in the new bat file
    • Taskkill.exe /im rdpclip.exe
    • Rdpclip.exe
    • Save the bat and drag it to the quick launch section of the toolbar. . Unattended access allows users to connect to a remote client without sending a session request to the client. This feature is best suited for users who work partially remotely and want to avoid taking their work computer with them wherever they go. They can easily access the remote computer regardless of whether it is turned on or in sleep mode.

      1. To enable unattended access in AnyDesk, follow the steps below:
      2. Open AnyDesk and click the three horizontal lines in the upper right corner of the screen.
      3. From the options, select «Settings».
      4. Click on «Security» and go to the «Permissions Profile» section.
      5. Expand the dropdown menu and select «Unattended Access».
      6. Click the «Set Password…» button and enter and re-enter the password.
      7. Click «Apply» to complete the process.

Method 3: Enable Remote Desktop Clipboard Redirection on the client computer.

The next method to troubleshoot Copy and Paste not working on the Remote Desktop connection is to enable clipboard redirection in the Registry* on the client computer.

*Important: Incorrectly modifying the Registry can cause serious damage and may require you to restart your computer. Therefore, be careful when making any changes to the Registry and always make a backup of the Registry beforehand.

      Windows 2012

      1. Open «Server Manager».
      2. Select «Remote Desktop» Services.
      3. Select «Collections».
      4. Select «Tasks», then choose «Edit Properties».
      5. In the «Client Settings» tab, make sure «Clipboard» and «Drive» are enabled.
      1. Start «Remote Desktop Session Host Configuration» from the server.
      2. Under «Connections», right-click on the connection and select «Properties».
      3. Select the «Client Settings» tab and make sure the «Clipboard» box is unchecked. If you want to allow file copy and paste, make sure the Drive selection is unchecked. Click OK when done.

      AnyDesk mouse does not work.

Make sure «Control my computer’s keyboard and mouse» is checked. In some cases, starting AnyDesk as an administrator on the remote side can resolve this issue.

If you find that the Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V hotkeys do not work, please enable the following options: “Control my computer keyboard and mouse”, “Access my computer clipboard”, “Access my computer’s clipboard to transfer files” on the Security tab.
