How to reset the AnyDesk ID number and get a new one.

The AnyDesk ID is stored in the ‘service.conf’ file in the ‘C:ProgramDataAnyDesk’ folder. To change the current AnyDesk ID and get a new one, rename the ‘service.conf’ file as follows:

1. Close AnyDesk. 2. Right-click the AnyDesk icon on the taskbar and choose Exit

Steps to install Anydesk using a remote terminal on ubuntu operating system

Step: 1 Download the latest deb package from anydesk as below. # wget https://download.anydesk.com/linux/anydesk_2.9.6-1_amd64.deb # sudo dpkg -i https://download.anydesk.com/linux/anydesk_2.9.6-1_amd64.deb # sudo apt install. /anydesk_2.9.6-1_amd64.deb Step.2 Start the anydesk service if it is not running. # anydesk –service Start the AnyDesk service, if it is not already running (for Linux). Step 3. The following command to get anydesk id and service status # anydesk –get-id (ID will be displayed in terminal) # anydesk – -get-status (will show the service is running or not) Step 4. Stop AnyDesk service, use the following command # anydesk –stop-service anydesk –restart-service (Restart AnyDesk service) To remove any previously running AnyDesk services. # ps -ef | grep anydesk # kill -9 Step.5 Set a password # echo my_new_password | anydesk.exe –set-password Step.6 Enable automatic login Edit this file /etc/gdm3/custom.conf # Enable automatic login AutomaticLoginEnable=true AutomaticLogin=$USERNAME Note: Replace $USERNAME with the name real user in case of multi-user

AnyDesk mouse does not work.

Make sure «Control my computer’s keyboard and mouse» is checked. In some cases, starting AnyDesk as an administrator on the remote side can resolve this issue.

If you find that the Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V hotkeys do not work, please enable the following options: “Control my computer keyboard and mouse”, “Access my computer clipboard”, “Access my computer’s clipboard to transfer files” on the Security tab.
