How Does Anydesk Detect Commercial Use

On the Teamviewer website there is an article It seems that TeamViewer is being used in a commercial environment, where the issue is addressed by the manufacturer. There it says:

TeamViewer is provided free of charge to everyone for personal, non-commercial use, and most of our users follow the rules by purchasing a license if they intend to use TeamViewer for commercial purposes.

What is AnyDesk?

AnyDesk is designed as a lightweight home office and remote support tool suitable for large or small businesses. It is intended to be useful for software vendors or application developers who are looking for a way to resolve customer or client issues remotely. It also allows users to connect from home to their office computers using the Unattended Access feature. Users get features like file transfer, remote printing, and session recording.

AnyDesk is designed for high performance and security. In terms of performance, AnyDesk users can expect frame rates of 60fps for most Internet connections, though the software is designed for low latency even at low bandwidth. AnyDesk also claims that its DeskRT codec feature, which compresses and transfers images, is unique among its competitors. For security, AnyDesk uses TLS 1.2 technology and RSA 2048 asymmetric key exchange encryption, and can whitelist trusted users.

Suspected commercial use

TeamViewer has a policy that allows personal use free of charge. However it is not always so. Many TeamViewer customers around the world have complained that they regularly receive warnings «Alert: Our system has detected a commercial use of the TeamViewer software by you or your connection partner.»

Many people think the above warning is unreasonable when they still use TeamViewer normally for personal purposes. However, it is very difficult for them to argue or complain to the TeamViewer support team. As a consequence, users can suddenly disconnect, limit the number of sessions or have to wait for a while (about 15 minutes) to be able to access again but they can continue to be interrupted at any time. This causes a lot of problems and raises suspicions that TeamViewer has created invisible pressure to force users to buy a license package. And this is a major reason why countless users are leaving TeamViewer and looking for a free TeamViewer alternative.
