How To Find My Anydesk Id
To get started, open AnyDesk. The number you see on the left is your personal ID. People can use this number to access your device, and you need this number of the person you want to connect with.
Type the remote device ID in the search bar on the right. Don’t forget: Never give access to your device to anyone you don’t know and beware of online scammers!
What if you are at home, but want to have unattended access to your work PC at the office, where there is no one to accept the session request? Take a look at your security settings – there you can set up a password and two-factor authentication for unattended access.
That way, the session doesn’t need to be manually accepted by the remote side.
Is there a way to restore AnyDesk-ID or aliases?
Yes, there are two ways to complete the restore of AnyDesk-ID, alias or alias. We will mention the first one here and suggest a last-ditch solution in method 4. Since we can’t know what account-related information you can’t remember, we will remind or tell you about the key terms:
- ID, also referred to as «User» on the website: IDs are automatically assigned to the free AnyDesk account, usually consist of numbers only, and cannot be changed. However, paid users can assign them from the Customer Portal and add uppercase and lowercase letters and symbols such as underscore, period, and minus.
- Name — Name assigned to free or paid users of a superior through a Customer Portal.
- Namespace: Unless paid for and designed as part of a company, usually @ad, ie AnyDisk’s public namespace that all users have access to.
- Alias — Alias is a combination of its name and namespace separated by @, that is, name@namespace. Free users can only use the @ad one, which, once assigned to an ID, cannot be changed. Paid users can choose a custom namespace and assign up to 3 aliases per ID.
How to reset the AnyDesk ID number and get a new one.
The AnyDesk ID is stored in the ‘service.conf’ file in the ‘C:ProgramDataAnyDesk’ folder. To change the current AnyDesk ID and get a new one, rename the ‘service.conf’ file as follows:
1. Close AnyDesk. 2. Right-click the AnyDesk icon on the taskbar and select Exit
The Good
Quick and easy setup – you don’t have to install AnyDesk on your machine to use the software. Just download the file and click on it to run the software in portable mode. You can also install the program to unlock more features, such as custom aliases.
Convenient Address Book: AnyDesk offers a nifty feature to manage your connected devices. The address book stores the IDs of all your connected devices. You can connect to registered devices with one click from your address book.
Anydesk audio not working.
Make sure «Stream audio output from this desktop» is enabled in the audio settings. Also, go to the «Security» > «Unattended Access» tab and «Remote User Permissions» sections and allow other users to listen to your computer’s sound output.
Make sure «Control my computer’s keyboard and mouse» is checked. In some cases, starting AnyDesk as an administrator on the remote side can resolve this issue.
