How To Use Anydesk On Android

Wherever you are in the world, you can remotely access and control your computer with AnyDesk. And when we say anywhere, we mean it!

You just got out of the office and are hoping for a quiet night, so you left your laptop at work. You’re already on the train when you get a message from your coworker who needs his help and asks you to connect to his computer with AnyDesk. Now??!!

Log off

Don’t forget to log off. Tap the little X next to your guest’s name on the AnyDesk home screen.

But before we close AnyDesk for today: Did you know that you can also use AnyDesk to provide remote support for Android devices or to use your smartphone as a remote control? AnyDesk is more than a screen sharing tool. Try it yourself!

AnyDesk, advantages and disadvantages

The truth is that AnyDesk works really well. When you control the computer from your mobile, the response is instantaneous, although sometimes you have to be very precise with the keys. For example, I’m using an ultra-wide monitor, so the screen looks a bit small and you have to make it bigger if you want to play well and not accidentally close a window.

Sending files is magic. It works very well, very well even with relatively large files, and the fact that you don’t have to configure anything makes for a pretty good experience.

Control your PC from an Android device with AnyDesk

Using AnyDesk is much simpler than other similar apps I’ve tried. When you launch the app on your desktop, you should see your AnyDesk address. It’s just a bunch of unique numbers. Below that, you’ll see an empty field where you can enter the AnyDesk address of another device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.). You will see similar things in the Android app too. You may need to grant certain permissions to the app before you can fully use it. The Android app also allows you to modify some default settings such as display quality and input methods.

How to use AnyDesk for Android:

AnyDesk is easy to use with the following steps.

  1. Download and install the AnyDesk software on your Android device and the desktop you will be accessing remotely.
  2. Start the program on both devices.
  3. An AnyDesk ID is displayed on the remote device.
  4. Enter the ID to establish the remote session.
  5. Confirm connectivity and start controlling your desktop remotely from your Android device.
