First, you need to download and install AnyDesk on the computer with which you want to establish a remote connection. You will also need to install the AnyDesk app for iPhone and iPad from the App Store before beginning the procedure.
Open AnyDesk on your Windows PC and make a note of your computer’s AnyDesk address located in the left pane. Now, click on the lines icon located in the upper right corner of the window and go to «Settings».
Next, go to the «Security» section and check the «Enable unattended access» box as shown in the screenshot below. You will be prompted to set a preferred password.
Now open the AnyDesk app on your iPhone or iPad.
Enter the AnyDesk address of your computer and tap «Connect».
Now, type the password you set on the desktop client and tap «Apply». Enable the option to sign in automatically from now on, to avoid having to enter the password every time you connect to your PC.
This will establish the remote desktop connection. You can swipe from the left or right side of your screen when your device is in landscape mode to access the on-screen keyword for typing. To end the remote desktop session at any time, simply drag your finger to the «X» icon at the bottom after swiping left or right.
Third-party remote access applications
There are many applications on the market, but not all of them can use multiple monitors while in a remote desktop connection. You have to do some searching to find the best and most popular programs for you and your computer.
Available for: Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, Linux
If you need a simple tool to get the job done, you might want to consider using AnyDesk’s TeamViewer alternative. It is a fully capable tool designed to provide remote desktop access with as little friction as possible.
Zoho Assist provides easy access to your remote support console right from your browser. The web-based console of this remote desktop software allows technicians to troubleshoot now from their browsers without any downloads on their part. Zoho Assist is the best alternative to Anydesk as it provides access to browser databases from anywhere and anytime.
Firewall configured incorrectly
Windows generates these error messages. They are usually caused by a misconfigured firewall. The firewall on both the local and remote sides should not interfere with the AnyDesk connection. Therefore, it may be necessary to modify the firewall to allow AnyDesk to make connections. In some cases, you may need to whitelist AnyDesk using *.net.anydesk.com.
